The area is undeniably a vibrant industrial hub, with Abhedya Industries Limited, Binjrajka Steel Tubes Ltd., Binju Metals & Alloys Industries, and Pitti Laminations Ltd. among the strongest. Kothur was once a rural area that has since evolved into a well-developed urban area with improved infrastructure and transportation. Amazon has opened a fulfilment centre in Kothur, Telangana, with a total area of 2,80,000 square feet.
The 33.8-kilometre long NH-7 connects Kothur to Hyderabad's main hubs, which is one of the main reasons for its growth as a residential area. This is a four-lane highway that connects Shadnagar (13.4 km) and Shamshabad (25.6 km) on one side and Shamshabad on the other. The closest bus stop for the area is Salvendri Guda Village, which is 4.6 kilometres away.
Although Kothur's property prices are much lower than those in Hyderabad, the area's rapid growth in infrastructure and transportation, as well as an increased commercial activity, has resulted in Kothur being one of the most sought-after residential areas. Land prices are expected to skyrocket as the area develops further.
